It's Hard to Make Money Online Without This Tool - Market Samurai

Internet Marketing Tools

Internet marketing tools are essential in online business. It doesn’t matter if they are free or paid, there are tasks you have to complete to get your sites out there and you cannot do that without tools.
On this page I will list all the Internet marketing tools I’m using and I’ll keep it updated as the tools change. I am using them successfully every day, and hopefully it will give you some ideas if you have something missing in your own arsenal.
I will list the tools in the order of steps required to launch and market a website, from research to building the site, to getting traffic.
  • Market SamuraiMarket Samurai
First up is keyword research. And besides the Google’s External Keyword tool, I find Market Samurai to be the best tool for my keyword research needs and then some. It also includes modules for writing content, finding backlink opportunities, finding offers to promote on your site, etc. As an alternative, you can also check out Keyword Elite.
  • Keyword BlueprintKeyword Blueprint
I’ve got it from Commission Blueprint and it makes keyword research even easier than Market Samurai. It’s an awesome tool if you really want to speed up the keyword research process for SEO and PPC.
  • WordpressWordpress
When it comes to building your site, Wordpress is the software to use. And not accidentally, Google’s own Matt Cutts has made a presentation in Wordcamp 2009 about how to use Wordpress for best SEO. The abundance of plugins and easiness to use make it number one on its own level. And oh yes, your site doesn’t have to be a blog at all with WP, but a format of a blog makes search engine optimization so much easier.
  • Bookmarking Demon
Bookmarking DemonOnce you have your site built it’s time to let search engines know about it and start building backlinks at the same time. Social bookmarking is the way to go. Bookmarking Demon is a very nicely done software and does the job great. You can easily bookmark your site to 100s of websites with a push of a button. If you use BMD, I recommend finding more sites and adding them to it (which is too easy for not to do). I use it not only for my new sites but every time I write a new blog post or add a new page – it literally forces Google to index your site often within minutes.
  • My Article NetworkMy Article Network
(Or its identical twin Article Marketing Automation) – Bookmarks are not enough to rank high, and there’s no easier way to build backlinks than article marketing. In case of MAN it’s really blog marketing, as you are actually writing blog posts to thousands of blogs in their network. It works great and I’ve ranked on first page many times over by using MAN alone. The only caveat is that you have to write a lot of articles, and I mean really a lot.
  • cbossContentBoss
All backlink building requires you to write a lot of content, which is really time consuming. You can outsource your articles to save time, or you can use ContentBoss which automatically rewrites articles and spits out an article ready for spinning with a click of a button. The bottom line is that article rewriting costs me few cents per article with CB.
  • Niche EmpiresNiche Empires
PLR helps when it comes to writing content and this is the place I use to get it.
  • Article Submission HelperArticle Submission Helper
Last but not least, my own creation, my article submitter. It submits to currently nearly 200 directories automatically with a push of a button. The more links the better, especially when it’s so easy to get them!
Those are all tools and services I use every day. I’ll keep this list updated when and if I start using any other Internet marketing tools.

Using Internet Marketing Tools

So those are the tools, but a tool is useless if you don’t know how to use it. I realize that to many readers all those titles can mean little if they don’t know how exactly they can help their business. That’s why I’m gonna go through the entire process of a marketing campaign and how each of the tools fit in the big picture.
  1. Keyword and/or market research is the first step in any campaign. Even if you’re not gonna use PPC or SEO to attract traffic, you can get a very good idea about your target market, more precisely the size of it. Google has a market share of over 60% among the Internet search engines, and we all know that most people search the web to find the information they need. Heck, I know a few less computer savvy people who have found out about Google earlier than about the Internet, and as a matter of fact, they still think about Google first when they think about the online world. On the other hand, tools like Market Samurai, Keyword Elite or Keyword Blueprint are just a matter of convenience and it depends on the scale of your work. If you need to research hundreds of keywords for your campaign (be it for SEO or PPC purposes), you will benefit greatly from these tools, but if you just need to look up a few phrases, the free Google’s Keyword Tool will do just as fine.Personally I use the aforementioned tools, simply because I save time. I often have to look for the “golden nuggets” in my target markets, and I don’t have a day’s worth of time to spare each and every time.
  2. The next step is content creation and website development. Most marketers outsource this step entirely, usually because they are less tech savvy and it’s time consuming. I’ve a background of a programmer so it’s second nature to me – I love creating websites. And perhaps for that reason I really recommend everyone to try creating a website themselves, at least as their first project. It’s very easy with Wordpress (I’ve come to love that platform) and the abundance of wonderful free design themes. You can build a nice functional website in no time. When it comes to copy writing, though, it’s easy to get stuck. I’m not a writer, and I only can write so much copy. But writing is the number one skill in the Internet marketing, and there’s a lot of it to be done. That’s why I can’t emphasize enough how important Content Boss is to me. It is especially useful when building back links.
  3. Building links back to your site is not only good for SEO. And it’s not only good for PPC (surprised? It’s proven through experiments that better SEO increases the Quality Score in Adwords). If there were no search engines at all, you would still want to get back links for traffic. This is the most time consuming process, that’s why I use Bookmarking Demon, My Article Network and Article Submission Helper extensively. I also build my own network of sites – the more “real estate” you own on the Internet, the more traffic and sales you get – in my opinion, that’s what every serious marketer should be doing (as opposed to pushing a single site and “begging” for links by every chance). How do all these tools work? You can think of it simply like spreading the word about your website around the Internet. That’s all there is to it. And if while doing that you pay attention to keywords, you get SEO.
Those are the main three steps and I hope you can see how all the tools fit it. Every tool performs a very important task which would be very difficult to do if done manually.
